Legend : Libra is the only present-day zodiacal constellation that does not represent a person or animal, this is because in Greek mythology Libra represented the claws of Scorpius, the scorpion. Because the sun is located in Libra during the autumnal equinox, when day and night are equal, the Chinese, Romans, Indians, and Egyptians all recognized it as a set of balances.
