Mythology : Cassiopeia was a beautiful, but vain, Queen of Ethiopeia who was married to King Cepheus and whose daughter was Andromeda. Cassiopeia angered the sea nymphs by boasting that she and her daughter were more beautiful than the nymphs. The nymphs appealed to Neptune, god of the sea, and were able to enact revenge by chaining Cassiopeia to a chair and placing her in the northern sky.
